What a crock

I hate being sick. It rarely ever happens, and even when it does, i usually just suck it up and keep going. But I was out of commission on Monday and Tuesday and just couldn't muster the strength to make it to work. It might have something to do with carrying and growing a human life inside my belly that is zapping my energy and made it impossible to fight through it this time, but who knows. I have a sneaking suspicion that I got food poisoning and that's never fun. And before you ask, no, it wasn't my cooking. Why is that everyone's first assumption? I went to Red Robin on Sunday for lunch with Shirley and it just may have been my trusty chicken sandwich. It's the first time I have ever gotten sick from eating there, and I have been going since high school (yea, that's a long time) so I'm not going to hold it against them.

Since I was home, I decided to at least be productive. Wait, huh? What? Usually I jump on the chance to actually have an excuse to stay in bed all day and do nothing. Instead, I did the laundry, cleaned the bathroom, emptied the dishwasher and made dinner. Tina had me all drooly over this pulled pork recipe that she brought into work a few weeks ago, so I gave the crock pot it's first shot at impressing me. Consider me officially impressed. Not only was it super dooper easy, but the whole house smelled yummy! When Rob came home, the scent of bbq and brown sugar filled the house, and who's going to say no to that? I think it's usually served on a roll or bun, but we decided to do a baked potato and salad with it instead. It was yummy and filling and did I mention super easy?
