Another go round

On Sunday, I tip toed back into the world of baking. As I have mentioned before, I'm really terrible at it. I usually burn everything I make, don't leave it in long enough, I try and frost before it's cooled down resulting in a big old mess etc. I don't have the greatest patience in the world, and that is kind of necessary to complete a baking task. The last thing I attempted was the chocolate peanut butter brownies I told you about, and they burned. But, I wasn't going to get discouraged, so I jumped back on the dessert bike and tried again.

This time I attempted cheesecake cookie bars. The recipe had a picture (of course) and they looked pretty yummy! I gathered my ingredients and hoped for the best. I even broke out my kitchen aid mixer which I have just been too intimated to use until now. Um, can I just say, it's fricken awesome!



It said to bake for 35 mins but I wasn't going to make that mistake again, so I checked them at 20 minutes and took them out at 25. I was itching to cut them up right away put forced myself to just walk away. Once they had cooled down, I sliced them up and taa daaaa! Cheesecake cookie bars!

I was relieved and super stoked I didn't mess this one up. They taste as good as they look!
