Home Sweet Home

I have amazing news! We got a place! We signed our lease on Tuesday night and spent our first night there yesterday. It's totally empty right now, except for the twin air mattress that we managed to both fit on., but it feels soooo good to have a place to call home. I love our place, it just feels like home. I know this is going to sound totally weird, but I feel a strong presence of my Grandma there. She passed away 5 years ago (how has it been that long already???) but I really feel like she's present, especially in the kitchen. There is such good energy there. Ok, did I just say that? Good energy? That's a bit on the new-agey side, but I can't help it, I'm just so happy!

The house has beautiful wood floors, a nice big kitchen and tons of character. Even though it's only a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom, it's perfect. It's a little nutty, a little kooky, but it fits us perfectly. It's called the Jungle House because it's pretty much hidden from the street by plants, trees and foliage. There's a funky gate in the front made out of wood that looks like something straight out of between Gilligan's Island. We've got the two dogs running around, plus one cat, and my cat will soon be joining us too. The house has a great flow to it, perfect for raising a little one or entertaining. Or both! Yea...I like both! :)

The big move is tomorrow so hopefully everything goes smoothly! I am so incredibly happy that things have taken a turn for the better. Now I need to get cracking on the baby's room!
